We have some really GOOD NEWS for you: God loves you and cherishes you! He considers you His dear friend. Jesus said, “You are my friend” (John 15:14). The Ohana (family) at Waikoloa Lutheran wants to be your friends as well. You are invited to join our thriving family of faith and love. If you (and your family) see the value of connecting with God through a church that is small enough to know everyone, but large enough to love and care for each other and its community, then Waikoloa Lutheran is the place for you! It really is! We are a caring, loving, compassionate, warm and joyful church. We want to not only tell you how much Jesus loves you, we want to show you. It is important to us that you know that if there is anything we can ever do for you or if there is any way we can be of help, we want to be there for you. God loves you and so do we!
WHO WE AREWe have been serving our Lord in Waikoloa and surrounding areas for over 32 years. We were charted into the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS) in 2006.
Our Mission is to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with our Waikoloa neighbors and visitors near and abroad from all over the world.
The Lord provides for our spiritual needs through His Holy Word and the spiritual blessings of Holy Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
We are a Confessing Church. We confess that God is Holy. We are sinful beings deserving His wrath and judgement, and yet He put that wrath and judgment on His only begotten Son Jesus Christ. We confess that Christ died for all our sins and rose again for our justification, now and in eternity.
We are a Forgiving Church. In John 20, Jesus breathed on His disciples telling them they have His authority to forgive sins. Today, we take that mandate seriously and announce the forgiveness Christ has won for us. We forgive because Christ forgives us.
We are a Loving Church. We love, as God first loved us. However our love is not perfect. We fail to love God with our whole hearts and others as ourselves. Although our love is weak, our Savior's love in us is strong. Our fellowship, confession, forgiveness and love is not shown through our own efforts, but in Christ Jesus, who lived, died and rose again for us and now dwells in our hearts by His Spirit.
We are a Joyful Church. Jesus promises to provide all who trust fully in Him a life that is filled with abundant blessings (love, grace, peace, power, protection, purpose and so much more), and therefore we live each day with deep and abiding joy, for He has done everything to save us and restore us to an eternal relationship with God, our heavenly Father. Joy is found here at Waikoloa Lutheran Church!
